Meet Our Newest ICMB Team Member!!

Keaton_019I’m so excited to introduce you all to our sweet new addition, Keaton Isaiah Swaim!! To say we are completely enamored with him is an understatement!! He has fit into our family perfectly from the moment he was born! I’m so thankful to say my labor and delivery with him was amazing: it was the shortest labor and easiest delivery that I”ve had by far. His sisters got to the hospital just before he was born and were thrilled to be able to hold him soon after! They loved watching him get his bath and did not want to leave when it was time to go home for bed!

Keaton_047Thankfully, the love for him has continued since we came home! I knew my oldest daughter would be a huge help. She is 5 and loves all thing baby. She loves to hold him and is great at going and getting things that I need.  I was very nervous, however, at how our 16-month old daughter would react to having a baby around.  It has gone surprisingly well! She absolutely loves her baby brother and is constantly showering him with kisses and asks to hold him. Whenever she sees him, she says “hi brubba (brother)” and tries to give him his paci.  In fact, we have to watch that she isn’t TOO loving with him!!

Keaton_021When we found out we were expecting again I knew that I wanted to have newborn pictures taken.  And I knew that I wanted to have Sarah Nebel (Sarah Nebel Photography) take them!! One look at her website and I fell in love with her photography!! Especially her newborn photos. They are so sweet and I love the way she captures images.

Keaton_080Sarah did our contributor photos for Iowa City Moms Blog and she also did family photos for us back in the Spring. She is so fun and my girls just loved her. So Kaia (my oldest) was thrilled to hear that Sarah was coming back to take our pictures! I was thrilled that she was coming to our house to take our photos, which meant not having to pack up all of our gear and trying to have to make it to a session on time!! It worked out perfectly because our middle child was sleeping (which was a blessing because she is a BEAR without a nap). Sarah was able to capture Keaton’s images first, in his own room and his own environment. Once Kinley woke up, she took some of our whole family and all of the kids together.

Keaton_031I am so happy with how our photos turned out and am thankful to Sarah for so beautifully capturing  this special moment in our lives! I especially love her passion for photographing people in their own environments and living everyday life! She offers amazing lifestyle photography, as well as in-studio shoots. If you are looking for a photographer to capture your special moments, be sure to check out Sarah Nebel Photography’s website and Facebook page!
