Friday, April 25th
Parents Night Out @ the Robert A. Lee Community Recreation Center from 4:00-8:30 p.m. Sponsored by the Iowa City Downtown District and Iowa City Parks and Recreation. Let your child go enjoy a night of fun while you get a Parents’ Night Out! Children will be treated to a fun evening of crafts, open gym, and other activities at the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center. Healthy snacks and dinner will be provided. Youth aged 3 (and potty-trained) through age 12 may participate. Cost is $7 per child if pre-registered, or $10 per child for drop-offs. Family Free Friday at the Coral Ridge Mall from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Includes free admission to the ice arena (2 kids free with paid adult), free figure skating exhibition, free carousel rides, free admission to the Iowa Children’s Museum (all ages), and free kid’s meal with purchase of adult combo meal at many food court restaurants.
Peter Rabbit at Washington High School in Cedar Rapids. Children’s Theatre of Cedar Rapids (Playtime Poppy) and Washington High School present Peter Rabbit! Tickets are $3 each for ages 1 and up. Showtimes are:

Saturday: 2:00 and 4:30 p.m.
A Sign Language Interpreter will be present at Thurs. 4:30 and Sat. 2:00 performances.

Kites Over Hoover Park in West Branch from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Activities include children’s games and races, a candy drop, an appearance by Benjamin Franklin, kite flying and spectacular kite stunts! Weather permitting the 100 foot “big” kites will return this year! 180 Go! Kite Performance team, a dedicated group of quad-line Stunt Kite fliers, will also be performing. Children ages 5 and up will also be able to make their own kites!

Spring Birds, Bugs, and Flowers at Hickory Hill Park in Iowa City from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Learn about Spring birds, bugs and flowers at Hickory Hill Park in Iowa City with Take a Kid Outdoors (TAKO)!
