Register Now for Iowa City Moms Blog’s Blogger Dash 5k Run/Walk!

We are so excited to announce our 2nd annual Blogger Dash 5k Run/Walk with The Family Dental Center! This is the perfect event for you whether you’re a serious runner, just getting started, have never done a race before, or are just interested in walking! This is a family-friendly event, and a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital! In conjunction with the race, this year we will also be holding a Health Fair!

Saturday, October 4th. The 5k run/walk will take place at 9:00 a.m.  We will be using chip timers to time the race.  Kids’ race (age 10 and under) to follow at 10:00 a.m.  All are invited to participate, whether you’re an avid runner or prefer to walk.  Strollers are welcome.

Early-bird registration is $25/person if registered by August 31st. Your registration includes an AWESOME technical t-shirt! Shirts are gender-specific, so if you’re a female, be sure to choose a women’s size!  On September 1st the registration fee is $30 (with a t-shirt)  Those that register after September 19th will not receive a t-shirt. Registration ends September 30th. There will be NO race-day registration.  *Strollers are welcome: there is no charge for children in strollers.

TEAM REGISTRATION: The cost for teams of 4 or more is $22/person if registered by August 31st. Your registration also includes an AWESOME technical t-shirt!

KIDS’ RACE: The kids’ race (age 10 and under) begins at 10:00 a.m.  The race is FREE (with no t-shirt). If your child would like a t-shirt, the cost is $10. The race lengths are 1/4 mile and 1 mile.  There is not an age requirement/limit on who can enter which race length, but a general rule would be 5-6 and under in the 1/4 mile and 7-10 in the 1 mile. If your child is younger and wants to do the whole mile, they are welcome to! It’s up to your discretion.  PLEASE REGISTER YOUR CHILD FOR THE KIDS’ RACE, EVEN IF YOU ARE CHOOSING THE “NO T-SHIRT” OPTION.

This year we are also including a health fair. We will be partnering with local health and wellness experts to bring you tons of great tips and ideas for keeping you and your family healthy and safe! There will also be fun activities for the kids!
