It looks like it is going to be another gorgeous weekend ahead of us! Here are my top picks for what is happening around the area this weekend!
Saturday, April 18th
Forevergreen Nursery Spring Open House from 9:30-4:30p.m. Bring the kids to see baby animals, take part in a coloring contest, and much more! There is also a fundraiser taking place to help out an employee who has been diagnosed with cancer. This event is taking place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Building Robots at the North Liberty Community Library from 10:00-11:00 a.m. The library will provide the boxes and recycled goods to build the robot, but you are welcome to bring any additional supplies you may want to use. Donuts and juice will be provided! A great event for the whole family, and it is FREE!
Kites for Kids from Noon-2:00 p.m. Come fly kites in remembrance of child abuse victims. Happening at the North Central Junior High in North Liberty and kites will be provided.
Old Capital Mall Spring Extravaganza from 10:00-5:00 p.m. Come out for some shopping, carnival games, prizes, balloon twister and face painting. Fun for the whole family!
MAMOM Spring Garage and Bake Sale from 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. @ Stonebridge Church in Cedar Rapids. It is time for Marion Area Moms of Multiples’ annual spring sale. There will be a huge supply of baby, kid and maternity items from multiple families in one spot!
Sunday, April 19th
Sunday Fun Day at the Iowa City Public Library from 2:00-400 p.m. Come join us in the Storytime Room for fun activities for families to enjoy together. Focus will be on Money Smart Week!
