Saturday, June 13th
Pollinator Party 1-3 p.m. Head on over to the North Liberty Community Pantry and learn how to start a pollinator garden. Come and meet butterflies and bees and take home perennial flowers and seeds. There will also be honey tasting and light refreshments. This is a kid-friendly family event, so it’s definitely worth checking out and learning a little something!
North Liberty City-Wide Garage Sales 7 a.m.-?? Love garage sales? Well, this is your chance to go snag some amazing deals! North Liberty city-wide garage sales definitely will not disappoint. With over 100 garage sales listed thus far, it is sure to be a good time. Kids’ clothing, maternity items, toys, books, adult items…this is the place to find them all!!!
Sunset Salsa 6-10 p.m. Sunset Salsa- Iowa City is a FREE Salsa Dancing event that takes place outdoors throughout the summer time at the Weatherdance Fountain in the Ped Mall. Join us for dancing and music all night in the most beautiful downtown around!
Arts & Facts Family Gallery Talk: Folk Dresses 11-11:45am. Learn the basics of historic Czech and Slovak folk dress during this kid-friendly gallery talk! Did you know that each village has its own special clothing designs and patterns? Why would fish scales be used to decorate an apron? In present day, when do Czechs and Slovaks choose to wear their national costumes? Find out the answers to these questions (and more), touch real artifacts, and even try on a few pieces from the museum’s education collection! This program is free after purchasing regular admission tickets to the galleries. Find us in Faces of Freedom: The Czech and Slovak Journey! Arts & Facts Family Gallery Talks will occur each month during the summer.

Flag Day 2-4 p.m. Come celebrate Flag Day with flag activities and coloring pages at the Iowa City Community Library. Fun activities for families to enjoy together!
