Saturday, January 23rd
Play 2B Fit 10-4pm. Join The Iowa Children’s Museum on Saturday, January 23rd for a fun family day of fitness activities and drills, nutritional active learning experiences, participatory stage programs and lots of play! Featuring community groups and businesses dedicated to Healthy Kids! Admission is free and is taking place at the Coralville Marriott.
Music is the Word Family Concert 2-3pm. Today at the Englert we will be hosting a wonderful family musician, picture book author and child development specialist, Jim Gill. Get ready to sing, dance and play together with this fantastic award winning musician!
Guided walk at Cedar Lake 2-3pm. Join ICNC Director Emeritus and Friends of Cedar Lake member Rich Patterson for a leisurely paced 1.7 mile walk around Cedar Lake in the heart of downtown Cedar Rapids. Meet at the Cedar Lake Parking Lot at Shaver Road NE. This is your chance to spot interesting birds, tracks, and wildlife. You may even get a glimpse of a mink or beaver. Please dress for the weather. This event is co-sponsored by the Indian Creek Nature Center and the Friends of Cedar Lake.
Sunday, January 24th
Coralville Winter Fest 1-4pm. Experience the wonders of an Iowa winter at Coralville’s annual WinterFest. Enjoy a showcase of winter-time demonstrations, indoor and outdoor hands-on activities, entertainment, food, and frosty fun for all ages. All activities are free!
