Update April 12, 2023
Iowa City is a wonderful place to live; Livability.com currently ranks Iowa City as #4 out of the top 100 best places to live for 2019. This City of Literature, with a population of roughly 70,000, is a small but bustling college town packed to the brim with arts and culture. The University of Iowa and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics draw people from all over the world to this pretty city on the Iowa river, and thousands more flock to the area every summer for festivals such as the Iowa Arts Festival and Iowa City Jazz Fest. We Iowa Citians pride ourselves on our education, our culture, and our Hawkeyes, and we welcome outsiders with open arms to come and see why we love this town so much.
If you’re moving to the Iowa City area, choosing where to live can be a big decision. With many suburbs, small towns, and neighborhoods to choose from, it can be hard to decide which area is right for you. Luckily, we enlisted the help of moms from all over the area to share what they love about their neighborhoods or towns and why. Then we asked The Bails Team at Urban Acres Real Estate to share their expertise. We compiled everything into one guide to help you compare the benefits and amenities of each location. Now all you have to do is shop around, and see which one feels like home.
