Visit Chicago Like a Local: Download This Interactive Guide

A popular destination for many Iowan families is the Windy City: Chicago. Many Iowans find themselves spending a few days in this popular destination, one of the biggest major cities in the Midwest, especially during the summer months.

Being a former resident of Chicago, I am often asked what to see and where to eat. I like to venture off the beaten path wherever I go so I oftentimes give suggestions that aren’t your “typical” popular destinations. Of course there are SEVERAL options and popular activities that are a lot of fun. Don’t get me wrong–I love going to all of the top museums: the Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum, and the Art Institute, to name a few.

But if you want a true sense of what Chicago is all about, then I recommend thinking outside of the box.

I’ve included a downloadable version of all of my top favorite locations, such as Oz Park, turtle racing, a late night chocolate bar, and troll hunting. Just click on the link below, and be sure to scroll through both pages of the download. Click on each destination title for a link to more details!
