{Re-Cap} Pancakes and Pajamas

It truly doesn’t feel like the holidays until we have sat around the tables eating never-ending pancakes and sausages at our annual Pancakes & Pajamas family event!  We love watching all of you walk in with your little ones in their ADORABLE pajamas, and when they stack up all of those toppings on their pancakes and their cups of hot cocoa, it’s cuteness overload!

Sponsors & Partners

As with all of our events, we could not do this without our wonderful local sponsors and partners who add so much to what we have to offer for you and your families.  The kids had such a blast walking around to all of the activity tables and visiting with Mrs. Claus, and the moms and dads loved the coffee station, as always! Check out all of the awesome people who made all of those things possible:

Capanna Coffee

What’s a breakfast event without COFFEE, right?? The moms and dads beelined it for the Capanna Coffee station as soon as they walked in the door, and let’s be honest: we all needed a little caffeine to keep up with the kids running around in there! Special shout out to Capanna for bringing the goods, and if you are living under a rock and have not yet visited them, click here for more info!

Montessori School of Iowa City

Our friends from the Montessori School of Iowa City brought along a super fun holiday memory game, as well as their ever-popular stencils.  (Seriously, the stencils are always such a hit! We should all consider buying some of those for our kids at home if they don’t have them!). If you are interested in learning more about the Montessori School and what they have to offer to students and their families, be sure to check out their website for more information.

West Music

The West Music ladies came all decked out for the holidays, and their booth was definitely poppin’ during the whole event!  Because what kid wouldn’t want to create a make-your-own jingle bracelet??  If your kids are music lovers, or even if they’re just interested in learning more, be sure to check out West Music in Coralville.  We love their Sing, Play and Learn Today program!

Hope Family Chiropractic

If you haven’t met the staff of Hope Family Chiropractic at one of our events yet, you are definitely missing out.  They are so friendly, and they bring their spinal scan to every event to help families assess their spinal health and chat about the ways chiropractic care could benefit you.  And the best part? The scan only takes about 30 seconds, so you can totally get it done while your kids are doing the super fun activity at the table!  For more information on Hope Family Chiropractic and the services they offer, click here.

Enrichment Therapies

It’s always a party at the Enrichment Therapies booth!  This year they brought their holiday cheer with a BRILLIANT decorating idea—especially for those of you with toddlers and crawling babies at your house!  The felt Christmas tree allows your kiddos to decorate to their heart’s content without all of the fuss of the “real” decorating (AKA the sharp ornament hooks, breakable ornaments, or the potential of the entire tree falling down on them!). Be sure to check out the Enrichment Therapies website to learn more about how your kids could benefit from their services in our community!

Mrs. Claus!

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Mrs. Claus is the way to go!!! Not a single crying kid, you guys!  She is so friendly, and so welcoming, and the kids just gravitate toward her to read stories and talk about Santa and the North Pole.  If you have kids who aren’t keen on sitting on Santa’s lap for a photo op, consider visiting his wife for a change!

And last, but most CERTAINLY not least, thank you to YOU, all of the beautiful families who came out in the pouring rain this year to spend your morning with us! We could feel the holiday cheer in the room, and we truly hope that your children enjoyed the morning running around in their PJs eating as many pancakes as they wanted and doing all of the activities. HAPPY HOLIDAYS from our ICMB family to yours!
