I Can’t Believe We’re Still Fighting About This, 2019 Edition (+Infographic)

I have raised one child to actual adulthood. She can vote and buy her own Zyrtec. I’ve been at this Mom thing for a while, and let me tell you, my give-a-care has given out. All the things that seemed So Very Important when my kids were younger, as it turns out, aren’t always so important in the long run. I’m honestly surprised when I still hear people putting down working mothers as outsourcing motherhood. Or stay-at-home mothers as wasting their potential. We’re all just doing the best we can here, friends.

So, from my years in the parenting trenches, I present to you this handy chart of valid and not valid parenting choices.

Sharon
Sharon Falduto is a Central Iowa native who came to University of Iowa in 1991 and essentially never left the area. She is involved in local community theater, notably as one of the co-founders of Iowa City's Dreamwell Theatre. She has also directed children's plays with the Young Footliters group. Sharon works in with English Language Learners in a support position at Kirkwood Community College.. She lives in Coralville with her husband, Matt, and three daughters Rachel, Samantha, and Piper.
