February Mom Talk: Positive Discipline with the Maharishi School

Our Host

We are so grateful to the staff at the Maharishi School for hosting our February Mom Talk event on Positive Discipline.  Their wealth of knowledge was so eye-opening, and we all learned so much about how we react to our children’s behaviors.  It was fascinating to break down certain everyday scenarios and learn more about WHY kids do what they do, and what type of methods may help change the outcome the next time around.

“Maharishi School is a private, college preparatory day and boarding school located in beautiful Fairfield, Iowa. We serve students from the ages of eighteen months through high school graduation. Our unique and holistic curriculum adds components that are missing in modern education such as meditation, yoga, organic food, project-based learning, and a combination of single and mixed gender classes. This makes for a well-rounded experience that develops each child to their full mental and physical potential.”

::IMPORTANT NOTE:: The Safety Store is offering FREE Child Safety Seat Checks TOMORROW evening (6-8PM) at the Iowa River Landing location (105 E. 9th Street in Coralville).  This is a FREE event and registration is not required; please bring your vehicle, your child(ren) and your car seat(s) for the check.

A born-and-raised Iowan, Sara received both her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees (in Spanish Literature) from the University of Iowa.
