What’s In the Crate?

Each crate comes with a simple step by step set of instructions for each activity, a magazine – complete with a short story and educational information pertaining to the topic, and all the supplies necessary to complete each project.

We purchased the Kiwi and Koala crates for our six-year-old and three-year-old.

Koala Crate

The Imagine Magazine begins with a short story featuring Kellan the koala and his friends, working to answer a question that is specific to the topic and related activities within the crate. This is followed by additional information regarding the topic, a seek and find page, and a few additional activities you can complete using supplies you already have at home.

My preschooler loves the short story and interactive pages in the magazine! She is always excited to see Kellan the koala each month!

The Koala Crate provides three fun and simple activities to complete with easy step by step instructions. Each activity takes about 10 minutes to complete, which is perfect for a busy preschooler! I love that the boxes come with all the materials needed to complete each activity.

Kiwi Crate

The Kiwi Crate includes an Imagine Magazine, a set of instructions, which focuses on one detailed project specific to the topic of that monthly crate, and all of the materials necessary to complete the project.

Again, can I say how much I love that all of the materials come in the crates! Seriously! I don’t need to search my house for supplies, while the girls wait impatiently to begin.

KiwiCo Subscription Box Review

These crates have become the perfect Saturday morning family activity! I love how they send extra pieces with each project. The customer service is top notch. We only had one issue in our four month subscription thus far. Two small materials were missing from my six-year-old’s crate. But since they sent extra pieces of other materials, she was still able to complete the project with ease. I did email their customer service department just to let them know what happened and within four days we received the two missing pieces.

I love that you have the opportunity to shop their crates individually as well, in case you don’t want to commit to a monthly subscription.

A monthly subscription is $19.95, plus free shipping per crate. Discounted rates are available when committing to a certain number of months. The website is very user-friendly and they always seem to be running promotions. It’s very easy to pause a subscription for one month or cancel altogether. Simply click the pause or cancel button in each child’s profile.
