How to Make An Easy Easter Bunny Cake

I love to bake and my daughter loves to decorate cakes. So, any holiday is a good excuse to work together to make a fun cake creation. At Easter time, this fun and simple bunny cake is a favorite, with no need for special pans to create a fun character.

How to Make An Easy Easter Bunny Cake

Using two eight-inch round cakes, you’ll use one for the face and cut the second one into bunny ears and a bowtie.

1. Start with baking two round cakes.

2. Prepare a wax paper template to cut your bunny ears and bow tie.

You can freehand it, too, but just in case you’d like a template, you can draw a circle that is about the size of your cake on wax paper with a Sharpie and then give it curved lines, something like this.

3. Cut out your wax paper shapes and pin to one of the cakes with toothpicks.

Then cut the cake along the edges of the wax paper

4. Place your cake shapes on a rectangle cake board or large pan.

5. Have fun decorating!

My daughter likes to pipe frosting, but you and your kids can do this any way you like to decorate. Coconut flakes, chocolate chips, and sprinkles are favorite decorating add-ons that my kids like to use.
