My Post COVID-19 Vaccine Bucket List

I am about to be two-weeks out from my second shot of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. I am counting down the days until I am fully immunized. I’ve got a list to check off of the things I can’t wait to do. This is my post-vaccine bucket list!

Hugs!

Hug my dad, who gives the best hugs in the universe. And my mom. And my brother and sister. And aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Let’s be real. I just want to hug all the people!

Date Night

Go on a date with my husband that doesn’t involve seeing nature or walking around my neighborhood.

Haircut

Get my haircut. My husband offered more than once to cut my hair over the past year, but, well . . . just no. I couldn’t do it. I don’t even trust most professionals to cut my curly hair right. So, I’ve got a year’s worth of split ends and my hair is so long I feel like it’s touching me all the time. My appointment is made with my favorite stylist and I am so ready!

Exercise Class

Go to exercise classes in-person. I’ve been dutifully working out online with the crew from my dance fitness studio all pandemic. I love the flexibility of online classes on demand. But, it just isn’t the same as working out in person with friendly faces that you see every class and feeling the energy in the room. So, even with all classes socially distanced and masked, I am really, really looking forward to dancing out the stress in the studio again.

Meet New Neighbors

Get to know my new neighbors. A family moved in next door during late spring 2020, just after the pandemic hit. We haven’t done much more than say a few words when we were out shoveling this winter since, you know, COVID. But now, in my new vaccinated world, a backyard BBQ seems like a great way to get to know the neighbors!

Grandparent Visits

Have my kids see their grandparents again. We’ll have lots of time this summer for our kids to visit with their grandparents, who are all vaccinated now too. It will be so nice to see them and not worry!

Girls Night

Have my vaccinated friends over for a girls night. I’ve missed their faces and their laughter. Plus, did I mention the hugging? I’m going to need to hug them.

How about you? What’s on your COVID-19 Vaccine Bucket List
