Special Events in September and October:

  • September 14: Apfelfest in Amana
  • October 3: Dinner at the Orchard

What’s Picking: You-pick apples. Plums, grapes, pears, squash, beans, and cherries may be available for purchase

Bass Farms (Mount Vernon)

Fall Events: Fall Festival 2024 runs from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on the following dates:

Colony Pumpkin Patch (North Liberty)

Hours: September 21 – November 3 ; Wednesday through Sunday, 10am-8pm

Kroul Farms (Mount Vernon)

What’s Picking: Pumpkins
They also offer: Flowers, Firewood, Produce, Apparel
Hours: Monday to Thursday 10am-6pm; Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9am-4pm


Sass Family Farm (Johnson County)

What’s Picking: Pre-picked fall produce
They also offer: Farm activities, treats, crafts, and hayrack rides
Hours: 11 a.m.- 6 p.m., daily


Wilson’s Orchard (Johnson County)

Events:

  • Thursday Night Farm Sessions
  • Friday Family Fun Nights
  • Sunday Fundays

What’s Picking: You pick apples and pumpkins, along with blueberries, tart cherries, pumpkins, squash, and peaches. Check the website for availability.
They also offer: Apple slushies, donuts, and turnovers; smokehouse BBQ lunch/dinner.
Hours: Year-round, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
