Herky on Parade…A New Challenge

By now, I’m sure you’ve spotted a few of the Herkys on Parade around The Corridor (If not, check out ICMB’s Guide to Herky on Parade).

Maybe you’ve even loaded up the kiddos and tried to track down as many of them as you could find!  But, did you know that starting at the end of June Herky on Parade has another little twist?  It’s true!  Last week one of my co-workers forwarded me an email from her daughter, that I immediately forwarded on to a few other people I knew who were trying to track down all of the Herkys.  Before writing this post, I did a little research to make sure the email was legit and found this post on the Herky on Parade Facebook page:

(In case you can’t read it, here’s the text that accompanies the picture: Several of you have been asking about THIS Herky that is found on the official 2014 Herky On Parade poster. It is The Golden Herky by artist Jeff Christansen and he will appear somewhere in Johnson County, Iowa beginning in late June.

Thought you had seen them all, right? Well, not until you have found the hidden Golden Herky! Every visitor that finds The Golden Herky will be rewarded with a commemorative prize but the very FIRST person to find The Golden Herky will win a COMPLETE set of the 2014 Herky figurines. A prize valued at $480! More details will be announced in a few weeks. Get ready and good job to those of you who found him on the poster.

Willy Wonka has nothing on Herky!)

How fun is that?  If you spot the Golden Herky, I hope you’ll share a picture with Iowa City Mom’s Blog and if you have to give away the location, please warn us with Spoiler Alert in the comments :).

And be sure to tag @ICMomsBlog and #iowacitymoms on Instagram when you’re out Herky Hunting! We LOVE seeing pictures of you and your kiddos with all your favorite Herkys!

Happy Herky Hunting!  (Say that five times fast!)
