Friday, September 12th
Outdoor Double Feature, 7:30 in Penn Meadows Park in North Liberty. Celebrate the anniversary of North Liberty Community Library’s grand reopening with a double feature. Honey I Shrunk the Kids will be shown at 7:30 (seating begins at 6:30), followed by fireworks at 9:30.
Friday Night Concert Series, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. in the Ped Mall (downtown Iowa City). Bring your family downtown for a night of great music and fun! This is the LAST WEEK, and this week’s performers will be Zeta June AND Fire Sale. Rain location: Chauncey Swan parking ramp. Free.
Friday Fun Night, 6:15-8:15 at Scanlon Gymnasium in Iowa City. Fee is $5 per child. Wrist bands may be purchased at the check-in desk. Kids’ activities will include: three inflatables (including an 18-foot slide), roller-skating, swimming, open game room, and crafts. Socks are required to play on any of the inflatables, and are available for purchase on site. All participating children must be directly supervised by an adult at all times. There must be at least one adult present for every five children.
Saturday, September 13th
Donuts and Forts, 10:00 a.m. at the North Liberty Community Library. Bring your blankets and help build the largest library fort around! Donuts and juice will be provided.
Playtime Poppy Presents “The Princess Who Wouldn’t Wear Pink”, 10:30 a.m. at the Cedar Rapids Public Library Beems Auditorium. Jefferson High School Theatre students will perform a vignette and Playtime Poppy will introduce characters to the audience. Treats and a library craft will round out the program.
