I won’t judge you if you just sang that in your head, or even out loud. Is it just me or are the shopping advertisements on steroids this year?? Black Friday deals started the day after Halloween and just when you think you can tuck your wallet back into your purse you’re bombarded with emails about the tremendous sales for Cyber WEEK. For some of us, it’s overwhelming. For others, it’s annoying. For still others, it’s exciting. For me, it’s a mixture of all of the above.
I am proud to be a bargain hunter, sale shopper, coupon cutter. Call it what you like but I’m happy to say that I rarely pay full price for anything. However, I’m no coupon queen like those reality shows and I’m not one to fight the crowd for the midnight doorbusters. I did work retail in my college days so I know a few tips for getting the best deals and I’ve become slightly obsessed with scoring the best price on diapers. I don’t aim to be cheap, but cost-conscious. Overall my goal is to stretch our family’s hard-earned dollars a little further by utilizing opportunities to save through reward points, special offers, sales, coupons, and the like.
