We had an amazing time at our 2nd Annual Moms Morning Out last weekend! It was so wonderful to spend a morning relaxing, shopping, and hearing from some of our area’s premier experts on all things parenting-related! Special thanks to South Slope Cooperative for providing their amazing Community Center for this event. It was the perfect space and their staff was wonderful to work with, as always!
Special thanks to our Co-Host, The Family Dental Center, for helping us put on this fun and informative event again this year! Dr. Gilbaugh was quite the hit with our attendees and we definitely recommend that you check out this family-centered practice for your entire family! Special thanks goes out to La Montessori Nurtury as well for helping to sponsor this great event! You can read more about their Montessori-based infant and toddler center here.
Our panel of experts did an amazing job answering YOUR questions and making us laugh! We’re so thankful to them for sharing their morning with us, and if you’d like to know more about them and their practices you can read about them here.

The Vendors and Informational Booths
The Family Dental Center: Again, always a popular booth at all of our events! If you are looking for a place to take your kiddos (or the whole family) for dental care, stop by and visit their offices in Coralville. Their staff is the sweetest, and the fact that they are all parents themselves is such a huge plus when caring for little ones!
UIeCare: Many of you enjoyed an additional chance to speak with some of our UIHC panelists at the UIeCare booth. And we hope you picked up some information on the amazing services available through the eCare system at UIHC; getting medical advice and help from the experts from your own home! For more information on this helpful new addition to the UI health services, click here.
UI Women’s Health Care: Another place to find some of our expert panelists, specializing in women’s health. We are so grateful to have such a caring, supportive network of women’s health experts in this community. If you are searching for a new provider, look no further than the UI Women’s Health Care offices. Click here to find out more information.
La Montessori Nurtury: Although the nurtury wasn’t able to attend the event in person, we do hope that you were able to pick up some information on all of the wonderful programs they have to offer for your little ones in the Corridor community. For more information on the Montessori methods, and the programs available at the Nurtury, click here.
Enrichment Therapies: Our friends at Enrichment Therapies are always so welcoming and willing to chat about our concerns/observations of our own children. If you are looking for a place to ask questions about your child’s behavior, both at home or in the school setting, we highly recommend Enrichment Therapies!
Bright Futures Chiropractic: Panelist Dr. Grier graciously spent time talking with the moms on a one-to-one basis at their booth after the official panel time. Another great, family-friendly staff to stop and talk with! So grateful to have so many of these in our community! For more information on Bright Futures Chiropractic, click here.
Performing Arts Preschool: We were so excited to meet the staff of the Performing Arts Preschool, located in the new Nolte Academy building in Coralville. If you’re looking to foster your children’s creative abilities during their preschool years, look no further! Check out their website today!
Massage Heights: As always, a popular booth for the tired mamas who are excited about those complimentary chair massages! We are so grateful for our partnership with the staff at Massage Heights, and we enjoy learning more about the health benefits of massage (and the different types of massage/facial care) whenever we see them! For more about Massage Heights at the Iowa River Landing, click here.
Motherly TLC: ICMB contributor Kellie did such a great job informing all of our guests about her services as a doula available to moms in the corridor area. It’s always so great to hear about additional resources available for expectant moms in our community. For more information on Motherly TLC, check out her website here.
Bug Soother: Another popular booth, and one of our favorite products! Iowa-based Simply Soothing has become the ultimate go-to bug spray in nearly all of our homes, and it was so great to have a chance to chat with the ladies of Bug Soother and to learn more about their Simply Soothing line of products. Be sure to check out all that they have to offer!
Apricot Lane: It wasn’t hard to spot the Apricot Lane booth–you can spot their adorable fashions from a mile away! And it was a great chance for the moms who couldn’t attend our Summer Shop Hop event, because they have heard us raving about all things Apricot Lane ever since! Be sure to follow them on social media as well, because they literally get new items every day and they post lots of pictures of their new stuff!
LulaRoe: Another great place to find some adorable fashions, and from a local mom as well! Nichole set up an amazing display of her LulaRoe inventory, and it was quite the popular booth for the shopping mamas. Be sure to check out all of her goodies by clicking here!
Stroller Strides: Another ICMB contributor, Ashley is so pumped about bringing the Stroller Strides program to North Liberty starting THIS month! To stay up-to-date on all of the details, be sure to follow her Facebook page and to attend the grand opening event as well!
