We had so much fun at our 2nd Annual Spooktacular Halloween Bash! Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed the evening with us!
Special thanks to The Family Dental Center for co-hosting this family friendly event. We are so grateful to the Family Dental Center staff for always supporting the Iowa City Moms Blog and our efforts to connect moms and families in our community. If your kiddos had a little too much candy this year at trick-or-treat, be sure to take them into the Family Dental Center for a family-friendly check up! And while you’re there, check out their beautiful new orthodontics wing!
Sponsor Booths
National Dance Academy
The ladies from National Dance Academy were definitely on top of their game…showing up in super cute costumes and LOADED with candies and goodies for the kids! They also had a super fun “spin the wheel” game which seemed to be pretty popular with all ages!
Children’s Center for Therapy
The Children’s Center for Therapy booth was so much fun! They had some terrific sensory games that were a perfect mix of fun and learning for little hands! Plus they definitely won the prize for the cutest pumpkin at their table!
Willowwind School
The kids LOVED the adorable jack o’lantern craft that Willowwind School brought! Their booth was constantly full of little hands cutting and pasting faces on their pumpkins! There’s nothing better than a chance to play with colors and glue!!
Collins Community Credit Union
Collins Community Credit Union brought some super fun connect-the-dots activities…a perfect assortment of Halloween-themed activities and other cute pictures that younger children would love! The kids enjoyed completing and decorating them to take them home!
Title Boxing Club
Definitely a popular booth, Title Boxing handed out candy AND little boxing glove keychains. So cute! They also let the kids try their hand at punching the big punching bag, which was a hit (no pun intended) with all ages!
Fun & Games
Special thanks to all of our sponsors for providing such fun activities for the kids PLUS lots of great candy!! Attendees also enjoyed taking photos at the photo booth station, trying their hand at the Spider Bean Bag Toss and Witch Hat Ring Toss games, guessing what spooky items were hidden in the mystery buckets, and of course, eating candy!! (And some other delicious snacks!) They also had a chance to get their faces painted…a big thanks to Jade for sharing your awesome face painting talent with us!
**Special thanks to ICMB contributor Nikki, with Bravely You Images for photographing the event and capturing all of those costume-wearing little ones! You can find out more about Nikki’s photograph business here. To see more photos be sure to check out our Facebook page.**
Another big thanks goes out to our team members and to the ladies from the Young Pediatric Nurse Clinician Program who volunteered their time to help us put on this event!
Once again, thank you to ALL of you who brought your kiddos to our Halloween bash! We loved seeing all of their adorable outfits, and watching them fill up their buckets with goodies!
Although the weather is getting colder every day, and winter is inevitable in Iowa, we are committed to keeping all of you moms and families connected through the “hibernation” months. Be sure to check out our Indoor Play Hop Series for a great way to meet up with other moms and little ones at some great indoor locations once a month. Also, if you are not a part of one (or more) of our neighborhood playgroups, be sure to join those as well! These groups will be meeting up frequently throughout the winter months as well, and it’s a great way to meet people in your area of the Corridor! (To join a neighborhood group, email us at [email protected].)
